We are looking for you as an addition to our tech-team in Berlin, Hamburg,
Munich or remote. 1KOMMA5° is building Germany's largest one-stop-shop for sale, installation and services related to solar, heat pumps, electricity and charging infrastructure. And they are all connected! Be a part of our mission!
Deine Position
As a member of the B2C domain, you will build a virtual power plant leveraging our energy manager "Heartbeat", and continuously ship innovative energy market solutions to our customers through our 1KOMMA5° App.
As an engineering manager in 1KOMMA5°, you will be leading up to two cross-functional teams alongside frontend and backend engineers, product managers and UX/UI developers. You will help build a self-organised tech team, responsible for developing, deploying and running their own solutions.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise across 2 - 3 app teams and be part of the hiring process to find the best talents
- Be an excellent people manager and support your team members in their professional and personal development
- Help your team members to create, implement, evaluate, deploy, sustain, and enhance software solutions for complex and undefined problems
- Foster a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
- Promote teamwork and successful project execution
- Improve developer satisfaction by constantly avoiding/reducing tech-dept, automating as much as possible and documenting decisions, runbooks etc.
Dein Profil
You have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of proven experience in software engineering in a fast paced and scalable environment
- At least 3 years of experience in leading cross-functional and agile software engineering teams working with cutting edge technologies on distributed systems
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills in English, German is a plus

- Experience in climate tech and especially energy industry
