Outbound Sales Executive

Location: Remote first, in the Peterborough area. You must be willing to travel to the Peterborough office for team meetings

Hometree is a home energy services company on a mission to accelerate the transition to net zero. By fixing, installing and financing home energy hardware, we'll help homeowners transition to low-carbon solutions, when they are ready.

Today, we ensure UK homes are warm and working with all-encompassing home heating hardware cover plans. Our network of skilled engineers offers regular maintenance, emergency repairs, and support for gas boilers, central heating, and plumbing.

Role and responsibilities

As part of our growing sales team you would work across various sales pipelines and lead sources. Calling customers to discuss where we can support them further - whether that be where customers have struggled with the online check out for our Home Cover products, discussing upgrade options for new services we have launched into the market or on our green energy mission where a customer's boiler may be close to end of life - with multiple ways of keeping the customer warm this winter - whether that be through a new boiler, heat pump or our recently added solar options!

Whilst the role is predominantly based around outbound calling customers who have indicated interest, or are already a Hometree customer, there may be times that enable you to demonstrate your skills on the inbound customer line too!

Success is defined by speaking to as many customers as possible to support them in their journey and signing them up for their desired Hometree product - compliantly and through great customer service.

The things you’ll do

  • Compliantly discuss our products with customers over the phone where they have not completed their online sale

  • Reach out to customers who have shown interest in our packages but not yet purchased

  • Support in transitioning existing customers who want or need to replace their boiler into a new boiler or greener option like our Heat Pump or Solar offerings, financed through our finance team

  • Work across multiple lead sources to outbound customers to discuss completing the sale on the relevant product type

  • Follow compliant sales techniques to ensure we meet our customers needs and sell inline with our regulatory requirements

  • Support the inbound sales line team where needed.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrable outbound sales skills - with resilience to work on high lead volumes- who prides themselves on securing sales through service

  • Experience in working in an outbound sales environment

  • Hunger to find the right thing for every customer - compliantly and aligned to the customers needs

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - people love working with you because of your passion for delivering for the customer and helping team members

  • Excellent and clear verbal and written communication skills

  • A natural problem solver driven by curiosity & continuous improvement mindset

  • Disciplined and organised with a keen eye for detail and an ownership mindset,

  • Team player who enjoys working collaboratively to resolve issues

  • Confidence in working with multiple customer/online systems

Work Location

This is a remote role to enable our team to have flexibility that works for them so you will need a comfortable and quiet home working environment. We hold monthly team meetings in Peterborough, which you will be expected to attend and twice yearly social events at our London office. There may be times we want to see you in the Peterborough office more often for extra training or meetings where required (no more than once a week)

Shift patterns available:

Full time (37.5 hrs)

9:00-19:00 Monday -Friday (7.5 hour shifts x 5)

Salary and benefits

This role is a permanent full time with a salary of up to £24,000 per annum and depending on experience.

Who you’ll be working with

The Hometree Operations Department is at the forefront of serving and managing the daily needs of our customers. Made up of seven teams it includes Customer Care, Repairs, Escalations, Sales, Training & QA, Network and Reviews. Excellent communications skills, customer service and time management are all fundamental to ensuring the best experience for our customers and network.

Since we operate in a regulated industry, legal compliance is crucial to our daily operations. We are a close-knit hybrid department that excels and grows by learning from each other.
