Installations Manager

Lead renewable energy projects from start to finish—residential to commercial—driving teams, results, and seamless installations.

Salary: £42K-£50K per annum depending on experience and a 10% - 15% performance bonus.
Role type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid, 4 days in office, 1 day working from home.
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Direct Reports: Installation Team

A full clean drivers license will be required. A company vehicle will be provided.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven Installation Manager to lead the successful delivery of renewable energy teams. From residential installations to large-scale commercial developments and ongoing maintenance services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. In this fast-paced role, you’ll be working closely with our Head of Operations, Project’s teams, and installation teams. We want someone who thrives in a team environment but also takes initiative to drive success and continuously develop their skills. Responsibilities:

  • Site Management & Supervision: Oversee daily operations, audits, and inspections to ensure renewable energy projects are completed on time, safely, and to high standards.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance (QS Responsibilities): Act as Qualified Supervisor, enforcing regulations, certifications, and HSE protocols to maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Workforce Management, Training & Upskilling: Lead teams, identify skills gaps, and implement training to develop technical expertise and professional growth.
  • Resource & Project Efficiency: Allocate materials, equipment, and workforce effectively to maximise productivity, reduce waste, and maintain sustainability.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure installations meet standards, mitigate risks, and continuously improve processes with new technologies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage, and EV systems, with proven experience in installation and maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Over 3 years of experience managing on-site trades, motivating teams, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations and H&S standards.
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Experienced in managing third-party relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of services and materials.
  • Professional Certifications: Holds relevant electrical and safety qualifications, including IOSH, City & Guilds, and NVQ certifications.
  • Passion for Renewable Energy: Deep commitment to sustainability and driving clean energy initiatives, with a focus on impactful, eco-friendly solutions.
  • Exceptional Organisational Skills: You can juggle multiple teams and reporting, prioritise tasks, and keep everything moving seamlessly.
  • Outstanding Communication: You’re confident in leading teams, coordinating with clients, and ensuring clear and effective communication at all levels.
  • Detail-Oriented & Strategic Thinker: You anticipate potential issues, manage risks proactively, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Adaptability & Initiative: You thrive in a dynamic environment, are hands-on, and always look for ways to improve processes.

  • Renewable qualifications: BPEC Solar Installer, battery Storage, EV
  • Certifications: Part P Domestic Installer Certification, Gold Card, Black Card
  • H&S & Compliance: First Aid, plant certification, CSCS, SSSTS, SMSTS.
