The Role:

As our Release Manager, you will own the software release lifecycle, and will coordinate/manage the release schedule to deliver our product roadmap. You will refine and optimize our software release processes, collaborating closely with our DevOps team to design and implement robust infrastructure and processes. Your role will be pivotal in establishing and upholding quality standards to guarantee that all releases are stable and smooth, which ensures that 10’s of thousands of solar professionals across the globe can rely on our software to help them drive the adoption of solar energy and electrification.

What you’ll be doing:

• Process Refinement: Enhance software release lifecycle processes and work with DevOps to implement suitable infrastructure, automations, and quality checks.
• Release Coordination: Oversee and synchronize release schedules with our product roadmap.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality standards and processes across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaboration: Partner with the QA Manager to boost team effectiveness and transition towards automated testing.
• Production Monitoring: Ensure the uptime and quality of production systems, managing SLA commitments, monitoring, reporting, and improvements.
• Incident Management: Own and improve incident management and disaster recovery plans.
• Security and Privacy Practices: Shape our policies and practices related to Security and Data Privacy.

What you’ll need:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a software development organization in either project management, release management or DevOps roles.
• Quality Assurance and Project Management: Strong background in QA and project management.
• DevOps Culture: Experience in implementing and shaping a DevOps culture, optimizing manual QA and driving uptake of automated QA.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Proficient in designing and leveraging effective continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Production System Management: Experience in monitoring production systems, including uptime monitoring and issue escalation.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive organizational transformation to enhance quality and efficiency.
