The Opportunity:

As an Account Executive with experience in Customer Success focused on solar contractors (we call them pros), you will manage a book of business and drive new and expansion business by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals with solar contracting companies. As the Philippines is a new market for OpenSolar, this role is all about supporting our growth in this key region. You’ll leverage your understanding of the renewable energy landscape to help onboard and train new pros whilst positioning our platform as the go-to solution for improving operational efficiency, cash flow, and overall business performance. This role requires a proactive, relationship-driven, technical individual who can holistically offer customer support and training, but also understand complex sales cycles and consistently exceed targets.

Please note: This opportunity is offered as an Independent Contractor/Consultant Agreement. Once hired, you will be responsible for their own tax, insurance, and benefit arrangements.

What you’ll be doing:

Onboarding and Technical Support

  • Provide direct training and support (web-based) for Pros of the OpenSolar platform.
  • Conduct sales calls with new Pros of OpenSolar to manage successful onboarding, implementation & support.
  • Report on key metrics to drive success in ProUser support and in the development of strategies to scale.
  • Document user insights with our local Product and User Research team, working directly to deliver market appropriate features.

Sales & Revenue

  • Own the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity to close for mid-market accounts
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
  • Forecast accurately and manage pipeline in CRM (HubSpot)
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms

Customer Engagement

  • Run discovery calls to understand customer business models, workflows, and pain points
  • Deliver tailored product demos and value-based proposals
  • Act as a trusted advisor to decision-makers (Founders, Ops Manager, Sales Manager)
  • Coordinate with Solution Engineers for technical or complex use cases

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Support and technical teams on handoffs and account strategy
  • Partner with Support to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success
  • Provide feedback to Product and Software teams based on customer needs and insights

Market & Product Knowledge

  • Maintain deep knowledge of OpenSolar’s platform and solar industry trends
  • Understand competitive landscape and articulate differentiation
  • Continuously refine messaging and sales approach

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the consultative sales process and ability to articulate complex solutions in simple terms.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the solar industry
  • Deep EPC solar network in the Philippines
